Rollercoasters

Justus and I had one rollercoaster of a month:

1. We started a month ago with news of a great, exciting adventure that fell apart this past weekend.

2. We also moved across our complex, which was another adventure in and of itself.  Only one item broke, the cover to our ice-cream maker.  So if anyone was planning to come to our house for home made ice-cream, we'll need to reschedule :)  As a part of the move, we decided to donate our old sectional sofa and buy a new one.  Justus and I participated in some hefty retail therapy yesterday, but the results are worth it.

3. My grandfather suffered a severe stroke a month ago and now three weeks later is flourishing and doing well in rehab.  We were all lucky that it occured while he was at church as people were able to get him assistance right away.  It looks like he will be able to return to his assisted living center next Monday!

4.  My cousin left the MTC and arrived in Africa this week in the country of Togo.  We are all so excited and proud of him!

All in all, we know that Heavenly Father loves us and knows us personally.  We are blessed with experiences so that we can learn and improve.  A very wise person once said "Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured" (Gordon B. Hinckley).
