Bread Sundays

As part of my goal to write once a week on my blog, I've decided to write this entry on Bread Sundays.  These special days occur, of course, on Sundays and involve bread making.  We've only had two official Bread Sundays, but we're addicted.  The recipe that we have loved the most is the one for American Sandwich Bread from America's Test Kitchen recipe book.  It uses honey instead of sugar which gives it a wonderful taste.  In hopes of keeping up Bread Sundays I am going to go on a search for bread recipes.  I want to keep up the enjoyment of making bread because I don't want it to turn into a chore.  So if anyone has a bread recipe that they are willing to share, please send it to me!

Lucky Number 13?

Whoever thought that the number 13 could be lucky?  January 13, 2009 is a great day!  We found out that Justus received "Arizona Resident" status with ASU, cutting our tuition costs tremendously lower!  Also, I received a job offer that I am considering taking as an Accounting Assistant for a communications company.  It's not terribly exciting, but it has some growth potential and even talked about changing the job duties based on some of my qualifications.  It will be nice to be busy again and more importantly have money coming in.  I may be employed!

ASU Update

We received exciting news last week that Justus was accepted to ASU for the Spring Semester. We quickly filled out the in-state tuition petition for Justus to qualify for the lower tuition rate based upon his marriage to a beautiful, but more important Arizona native wife. The petition was mailed Wednesday and we're anxiously awaiting the response. We are so excited to have Justus going to school!

UPDATE: The check posted yesterday, 01/12/2009 for the petition fee.  We are excited because this means that they have received it and are in the review process!  We are hopeful :)

Job Search

The job search continues in the Gunther household, but we're hopeful. I had a job interview yesterday which resulted in a follow-up interview next Tuesday. I'm excited about the possibility of getting a job! However, I will keep looking and try to remain hopeful.
