2 Weeks Notice

Tomorrow morning, I will be officially submitting my two week notice to my current employer. I've accepted a new job offer to work as a paralegal for a law firm that specializes in construction related cases. I'm excited for the change and the new challenge, but am also feeling a little sad to leave the other job behind. I have established friendships and I was given the job during a rough time just after my dad died. Looking forward to the future.

Quarter of a Century

This year Justus and I will both turn a quarter of a century. Saying it that way makes it seem older than merely saying 25. Justus went first on Tuesday. We first celebrated with my family on Sunday night with yellow cake and chocolate frosting (all made from scratch!). Justus blew out 24 candles (of course the box only comes with 24!) but we figured that technically he was still 24, so it was ok. Justus asked for a new handle bar for his bike (pictured) and was a good sport by acting surprised when he opened the box. Tuesday night we went out to a local (ok, really not necessarily local since the original is in NY) pizza joint called "Grimaldi's" and then went to Blockbuster for Justus to pick out some favorites. We ended up choosing a few dvd's of some of our favorite tv shows and had a blast laughing through the rest of the night.
